Ingredients:
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 TBSP butter
  • 2 TBSP all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt, dash pepper
  • 2C milk
  • 1C (8 oz) sour cream
  • 1C (4 oz) Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 4C cooked wild rice
  • 6C chopped cooked Broccoli
  • 5C chopped cooked, Cauliflower
  • 6 stripes bacon cooked, crumbled

  • Steps:
  • In sauce pan, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper, gradually add milk, bring to boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes until thick and bubbly.


  • Remove from heat, stir in sour cream, 1/2C cheese, stir until smooth.


  • Place 2C wild rice in greased 13 X 9 pan. Top with Broccoli and cauliflower. Place remaining rice down the center of dish. Pour sauce over all. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover, Bake 350 for 20 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle with bacon, bake 10-15 minutes or until bubbly
